The Marriott Eastern Regional J3 Championships wrapped up at Okemo, Vermont today (March 14) with a couple of double winners as the super G’s culminated the event.

Picking up the men’s win was Sam Morse, a day removed from having come from behind to win the GS on the same hill. The women’s win went to Danielle Brownell-Patty, the slalom winner on the opening day of the Championships Saturday.

The men’s GS on Sunday was led after one by Ryan Mooney, but Morse posted the fastest second run by one and three-quarter seconds to snatch the win away. Wyatt Queirolo was third, James Ferri fourth, Zach Bouchard fifth and Jesse Osuchowski tallied the sixth fastest two run time.

Women’s GS went to Czari Cochrane, also with a come-from-behind effort and the fastest second run. She bested Mikala Smith for the win while first run leader Alice Merryweather finished third. Rounding out the top six were Charlotte Williams in fourth, Lara Lathrop fifth and Alexandra Skovran in the sixth slot.

More got the super G win Monday with Mooney again relegated to the second position. Andrew McCrossan was third, Queirolo fourth, Peter Fucigna was fifth and Scott Schibli sixth.

The women’s super G went to Brownell-Patty in a close race with Gibson Donnan – in second – and Piera Hudson the third place finisher. Mikala Smith was fourth, Montana Marzario fifth and Maggie Gillian sixth.
