Austrian Hosp moves to Fischer equipment

Four-time World Championships medalist, Austrian Nicole Hosp has signed a two-year contract with Austrian ski maker Fischer to use their skis, boots and bindings through 2013.

The 2007 overall World Cup champion made the switch from Volkl skis, Tecnica boots and Marker bindings to all Fischer equipment on April 14 after testing several brands.  

“The material works brilliant. Leaving my old brand after twelve years wasn’t easy for me but finally I had to find a decision,” said Hosp. “This is a new challenge motivating me.”

“Having Niki in our team makes us competitive in the overall World Cup,” said Siegi Voglreiter, Racing Director of Fischer Sports. “She is good for top results in each discipline. That’s why she was on our priorities list. To win the big crystal globe with her is our main goal.”
