Head skis continues to sign top level ski racers, adding Olympic silver medalist Kjetil Jansrud, of Norway with a two year contract.

Jansrud is the third major player added to the Head Stable already this off-season, joining Aksel Lund Svindal and Werner Heel. The company also resigned Didier Cuche.

“It all happened very quickly,” said Jansrud, formerly an Atomic skier. “The tests worked out really well.”

“Kjetil is a young athlete (25) with enormous potential,” said Head race director Rainer Salzgeber. “We are convinced he is going to become an established member of the racing scene.”

If he’s not already, Jansrud does not yet own a World Cup win, but he made the podium in both GS’s at Kransjka Gora last season as well as winning the Olympic silver in GS. He told Head officials he intends to bring his results in other disciplines into line with GS, a point not lost on Head CEO John Eliasch. “Kjetil has phenomenal potential as an all-round racer,” Eliasch said.
