BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Family, friends, and the ski-racing community will gather Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, to celebrate the life and legacy of legendary coach Erich Sailer at the Hyland Hills Ski Chalet from 2 to 6 p.m., with the service beginning at 3 p.m. Full details and RSVP are available on the Erich Sailer Celebration of Life website.
Honoring a coach who shaped generations
Erich devoted his life to junior ski racing—building champions on the hill and in life. The memorial service is planned outdoors to welcome the many people he inspired. If weather turns poor, the ceremony will move inside with limited space (approximately 400 people). In that case, some guests may be asked to listen outside via speakers or watch the livestream of the program (link to be posted on the event site day-of).

Organizers kindly request that guests RSVP as soon as possible to facilitate planning. Depending on attendance, overflow parking and shuttle service may be used; final details will be posted on the event website. Light refreshments will follow the service.
