Snow has begun falling across parts of the Northern Hemisphere, and Ikon Pass has released the first confirmed opening dates for its mountain destinations during the 2026-27 ski season.
The schedule begins Oct. 17 at Diavolezza in St. Moritz, Switzerland, followed by Beidahu Ski Resort in China on Oct. 25. In North America, Copper Mountain in Colorado is currently the first Ikon Pass destination scheduled to open, with lifts expected to begin spinning Nov. 6.
The announcement gives ski racers, families and coaches an early look at when training and free skiing opportunities may become available across the Ikon Pass network. Opening dates remain dependent on snow and mountain conditions, and several destinations have yet to announce their plans.
New Ikon Pass Destinations and Access for 2026-27
The 2026-27 Ikon Pass includes several new destinations in North America and Asia.
SilverStar Mountain in British Columbia joins the pass alongside Snowriver Mountain Resort in Michigan, Lutsen Mountains in Minnesota and Granite Peak in Wisconsin. New Asian destinations include Madarao Mountain Resort in Japan, plus Beidahu Ski Resort and Lake Songhua Resort in China.
Ikon Pass has also added five bonus mountains: Devil’s Head in Wisconsin, Tamarack in Idaho, Giants Ridge in Minnesota, Caberfae Peaks in Michigan and Snowy Range Ski Area in Wyoming.
Access has expanded for Ikon Base Pass holders as well. The pass now includes unlimited access to Arapahoe Basin and five days at Snowmass in Colorado.
