Total events: 6
Number of athletes: 140

Venue: Bardonecchia

Spectator Information
Expected number of spectators: 7,646

Location
The venue is the Melezet ski complex in Bardonecchia. It can be reached by the Torino-Bardonecchia motorway, SS 24 road, or through the Frejus tunnel and the Modane-Lyon-Paris motorway from France. The area is also served by shuttle bus from the railway station for the international Paris line.

Description of the facilities

There are two runs – slope 23 and slope 24.

Slope 23 has the length and slope ideal for hosting a parallel giant slalom competition: the terrain is extensive and free running with gentle variations in gradient. The slope is
visible by spectators from the start to the finish.

Slope 24, which is newly constructed, will be used for the halfpipe competition. The project has planned for
the construction of a 130 m halfpipe fitting the terrain with a new snow making plant. After the Games, all the moveable structure of the finishing line will be dismounted, the Gavard ski lift will be reassembled on slope 23 and the wooden ski deposit will be replaced on slope 24.
