Langlois promoted to Rossignol’s Canadian hardgoods sales VP{mosimage}In lieu of Rossignol/Quiksilver’s larger plan to focus on the growth of each business unit within the global organization, Rossignol announces the promotion of Pierre Langlois to vice president of sales and marketing, hardgoods division, Canada.
Langlois will oversee all sales and marketing aspects for the alpine, snowboard and nordic divisions of Canada.
Langlois, who was first employed by Rossignol in 1989, was most recently the alpine marketing director. He has extensive experience within the snowsports industry and is an avid skier and outdoorsman.
‘Pierre has tons of energy and creativity and his enthusiasm for snowsports will be a tremendous asset to lead our Canadian sales force and marketing team,” said Francois Goulet, president of Rossignol Group North America.
‘I look forward to the challenge of growing the hardgoods division within Canada and will work closely with the North American marketing team located at the Mountain Center in Park City, Utah, to reach that goal,” Langlois said.
In addition to Langlois’ promotion, Rossignol Canada will be actively recruiting a VP sales and marketing for the newly formed Rossignol softgoods division. This person will work closely with France Lessard, Rossignol’s softgoods product manager, to aggressively grow this segment of the business in Canada.
This restructuring is in line with Rossignol’s new direction of becoming a global mountain lifestyle brand anchored in its snowsports heritage with ambitions to be a leading player in all segments of mountain sports.
In other company news, Hilary Hartley, sales manager, Rossignol Canada, has decided to pursue other career opportunities.
