Austrian Hannes Reichelt makes switch to Fischer
{mosimage}Fischer announced on Tuesday that Hannes Reichelt, the winner of the 2005 Beaver Creek super G, will ski on Fischer skis, boot and bindings for the 2006-07 season.
"[Reichelt's] trust in our products shows that we are on the right track with our equipment and that our commitment to racing is also welcomed by the athletes," said Stefan Rosenkranz, Fischer's alpine general manager.
"Hannes fits in very well with our team," added Ficher racing director Siegi Voglreiter. "We will make every effort to make sure he can increase his performance even further with our equipment and celebrate his biggest successes with Fischer."
Reichelt, an Atomic skier this past season, cited "excellent test results" with Fischer, along with a good relationship with Voglreiter as a few of the reasons he made the switch.
"The young and motivated Fischer team went out of their way to get me on board," Reichelt said, adding, "I would also like to thank my previous team as well, though, for the good work together over the past years."
Reichelt, 25, finished fourth in the super G standings in the 2005-06 season, and 20th overall.
