Cruickshank will be directly responsible for sales activities and will oversee the adaptation of Rossignol global marketing strategies relating to apparel, accessories and footwear division of the Rossignol brand for the Canadian market.
Living in Montreal and fully bilingual, Cruickshank, 34, managed a group of 27 people, including three sales managers and members of a national sales force at the Fletcher Leisure Group. He also is an avid alpine and nordic skier and has played soccer in Quebec’s premier elite semi-professional league.
Francois Goulet, president of the Rossignol Group for North America, said, "While Rossignol will continue to maintain focus on its core business, it is clear that the major engine for growth will be the development of its technical outerwear and mountain lifestyle offering, including casual apparel, footwear and accessories. We needed someone to drive this strategic segment of our business and Devon was a perfect fit for the job. Not only has he showed an impressive track record in the apparel business, Devon demonstrated a lot of enthusiasm for our project and our new association with our parent company, Quiksilver. Devon wanted to be a key player in building the next chapter for our brand.”
He will work closely with France Lessard, Rossignol Canada’s softgoods marketing and product manager, and will be reporting directly to Goulet.
