JACKSON HOLE MOUNTAIN RESORT has signed a new multi-year deal with Olympian Tommy Moe that cements his 10-year history at the resort and offers new opportunities for guests.
Moe will now be available for private ski sessions at Jackson Hole, which will include all of his favorite powder stashes. In addition, Moe will be joining the infamous and popular Steep and Deep Camps at the resort as his schedule allows.
Moe was named to the U.S. Ski Team in 1986. Eight years later, at the age of 23, he won the Olympic downhill in Lillehammer, Norway. On his birthday four days later, Moe won silver in the super G, thus cementing his place in history while becoming the first U.S. alpine skier to win two medals in the same Olympics. Moe competed in the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan, and then retired from the U.S. team.
Since his retirement, Moe has filmed extensively with Warren Miller, Teton Gravity Research, Outdoor Life Network and TWI, as well as competing in televised celebrity ski races, and the professional Jeep King of the Mountain series.
In 2003, Moe married longtime girlfriend and fellow U.S. Ski Team member Megan Gerety. They live in a house they built in Wilson, Wyoming, just 7 miles from Jackson Hole resort.
