Ski Racing Media Continues Beaver Creek Partnership with Vail Valley Foundation
The most exciting men’s ski racing event in North America deserves exciting storytelling, which is why the Vail Valley Foundation announced its continued partnership with Ski Racing Media to help tell the stories surrounding the Xfinity Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup race week in Beaver Creek Nov. 27-Dec. 2.
The leader in ski racing news since 1968 will work with the Vail Valley Foundation to provide special insights, stories, videos and more as the event carries on the 50-plus-year legacy of international ski racing in the Vail Valley.
“Anyone who has experienced great ski racing will understand the thrill of the event, the special comradery of the worldwide cohort of fans, and the excitement of the Xfinity Birds of Prey event,” said Tom Boyd, Director of Public Relations and Communications for the Vail Valley Foundation, which has hosted the Birds of Prey World Cup races since 1997. “The men and women at Ski Racing Media know how to bring these stories to life for the worldwide audience. We’re looking forward to working with them once again.”
Ski Racing’s content will appear on the official website of the Birds of Prey World Cup, www.bcworldcup.com, as well as on social media, and in promotional materials.
“Beaver Creek and the Vail Valley Foundation are widely known for their expert attention to detail, their all-around excellence, and their forward-looking approach to the sport of ski racing as well as the importance of its media and public appeal,” said Claire Brown, Ski Racing’s Chief Operating Officer. “It’s an honor to work with them and we look forward to partnering with them as we tell the stories surrounding this iconic event.”
The Birds of Prey World Cup has brought the top male skiers in the world to Beaver Creek each winter since 1997, when the first World Cup was held on the new course in preparation for the 1999 Alpine World Ski Championships. The Vail Valley’s history in ski racing, however, dates back to the 1960s, and the Vail Valley Foundation has hosted three Alpine World Ski Championships in that time: in 1989, 1999, and 2015.
