Frenchwomen Worley, Barioz Suffer Injuries

Dec 10, 2018

Following her fall at the Lake Louise super-G earlier this month, French skier Tessa Worley did not compete last weekend at the World Cup super-G in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where she was marked as a “did not start.”

After a medical consultation that day, a small lesion on the external meniscus of her right knee was discovered.

A decision on the resumption of competition will be announced early next week. Worley will not participate in the Val Gardena events Dec. 17-19.

Worley’s teammate, Taina Barioz, ruptured her ACL in addition to a small sprain of the left knee following a fall in training in Zinal, Switzerland, last week. The MRI was performed in Lyon, France, and confirmed the initial diagnosis.
