BREAKING: Dominik Paris Takes Kvitfjell Super-G

Mar 03, 2019

Italy’s Dominik Paris swept the weekend of men’s World Cup speed races, winning the super-G on Sunday with a total time of 1:29.20 seconds.

After weather rolled in overnight, the start was delayed 30 minutes in the morning to allow low-lying fog to lift and course workers to properly clear the fresh snow. Paris was joined on the podium by Norwegian hometown favorite, Kjetil Jansrud, in second place, 0.43 seconds back, and Switzerland’s Beat Feuz in third, 0.60 seconds off of the pace.

Travis Ganong led the American contingent in fifth place, his season-best finish, 0.89 seconds back. Steven Nyman finished in 15th and Jared Goldberg finished in 30th to round out the American top-30 finishers.
