VAL D'ISERE, France — The men's World Cup alpine races scheduled for Jan. 20-21 in Chamonix have been moved to Val d'Isere.
The downhill and super combi were scrapped Tuesday because of warm weather. The races will instead be run in Val d'Isere, with the downhill on Jan. 20 and the super combi a day later, World Cup race director Guenther Hujara said Wednesday.
''We all know it it's a compromise for everybody,'' Hujara said. ''But it's the only place we have right now with a slope that is ready.''
Several other World Cup events already have been canceled this season because of warm weather.
