SEATTLE — K2 recently announced the signing of Zach and Reggie Crist to a multi-year deal to represent the company's skis and helmets.
The Crist brothers, former U.S. Ski Team members known more recently for their multiple medals in the X Games skiercross discipline and video segments in the big mountain arena, will be actively involved in the development, marketing and promotions around K2’s all-mountain skis and accessories. The Crist brothers complement a K2 roster that also includes Shane McConkey, Seth Morrison, Pep Fujas and Andy Mahre.
“Reggie and Zach were our obvious choices for K2 when it came down to who can help us continue to push the envelope in developing high performance, versatile all-mountain skis,” said Jeff Mechura, brand director for K2. “They have consistently proven themselves to be the most versatile skiers in the world, excelling equally in skiercross events and the big mountain arena. Their perspectives on the sport and their drive are a true reflection of the K2 brand. We look forward to a great marketing and product development partnership.”
Combined, the Crist brothers have pocketed nine X Games medals in skiercross, including four golds. They also have appeared in numerous ski films over the years.
“We couldn’t be more stoked about teaming up with K2,” Zach Crist said. “These guys understand the sport of skiing better than anyone.”
“K2 is the leading ski manufacturer and we look forward to continuing that tradition,” Reggie Crist said. “It feels right to be skiing for an American brand.”
