In the fourth and final installment this week on skiracing.com, FIS President Gian Franco Kasper speaks of the need to wisely grow the World Cup, spreading the sport into the former Soviet bloc countries and other Eastern European nations. "The number of nations that want to host alpine World Cups increases every day," Kasper said. He also spoke of the coming years when more races will need to be scheduled outside of Central Europe, the United States and Canada to accommodate the sport's growth. "That will be a major political fight," he said.
