Vonn appearing on Channel One

High school homerooms across America will get a dose of alpine skiing superstar Lindsey Vonn Tuesday morning as the 2009 World Cup overall champion appears on Channel One News.

Broadcasting since 1990, Channel One is the leading source of news and information for young people. Their 12-minute news broadcasts are delivered daily to more than 6 million teens in middle and high schools across the country. Three of those teens are Vonn’s triplet siblings, brothers Dylan and Reed, who along with sister Laura will be tuning in at Apple Valley High School in Minnesota.

Vonn stopped by the Channel One offices last Thursday during her media tour in New York City prior to the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships, which are currently underway in Alyeska, AK.

The segment will also be available at www.ChannelOne.com beginning Tuesday morning and will remain online for a week.

Vonn, who won her third U.S. slalom title Sunday in Alaska, became the most successful female skier in American history this season after winning both the World Cup overall and downhill titles for the second time. She also collected the World Cup super G title, two World Championship gold medals and her 22nd World Cup win for one of the most successful season’s in ski racing history.
