The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation announced today that Dallas-based skier and financial leader Julie Silcock will be joining its board of trustees. Silock, who is currently co-head of Southwest investment banking for Houlihan Lokey, brings 25 years of investment banking experience to the foundation.

The 70-member board made up of American business leaders supports the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding.

“Julie is an avid skier who has singlehandedly energized the Dallas ski community to help support our athletes,” USSA president and CEO Bill Marolt. “We are proud to have her join our Board of Trustees both for the business background she brings and her enthusiasm for athletes.”

Silcock, who has degrees from both Princeton and Stanford, has held leadership positions with Houlihan Lokey, Citigroup Global Market’s Dallas Investment Banking Franchise, Credit Suisse, Bear Stearns and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette.

“I am thrilled to be joining this board of trustees that is so passionate about skiing and things we can do to support the Olympic athletes,” said Silcock. “Over the past several years I have developed a strong interest in the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association and am now eager to be even more integrally involved.”

According to a USSA release, as an avid skier Slicock has lead fundraising efforts in Dallas for the U.S. Ski Team and other charities. She is planning to host a fundraising event at her Dallas home, featuring top USSA athletes in September.
