Loveland Ski Club is looking to hire a few more part-time alpine coaches for their youth programs.
Description
Loveland Ski Club (CO) is seeking part time youth alpine coaches. Opportunities for 1, 2, or 3 days per weekend are available. Opportunities exist for U14, YSL, and the Development Team. Loveland Ski Club is a growing program that prides itself in maintaining a low athlete to coach ratio, never exceeding 6 athletes per coach. Additionally, we support education opportunities for our coaches.
Qualifications
Previous ski racing experience required. High level experience as a coach/athlete is desirable. Passion for developing athletes as well rounded individuals.
Essential Functions
● Manage Basecamp coaches folder
● Coach athletes as assigned and agreed upon
● Communicate training/race plans with parents
● Develop a race day plan with athletes
● Travel to races in support of athletes
● Plan & execute on-snow training sessions
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Acquire and maintain US Ski & Snowboard coaches license and Level 100 Certification. Maintain knowledge on current rules and regulations as they pertain to athletes you are responsible for. Advanced skiing ability with the ability to demonstrate skiing skills.
Work Environment
● Long hours in the outdoors during all weather conditions
● Weekend work required throughout on-snow training times
Benefits
● Pay range of $132- $175 daily rate depending on youth program & coach experience.
● Season Pass for Loveland Ski Area provided by Loveland Ski Club for employees.
● Use of corporate club passes for family & friends.
● Per Diem and Mileage reimbursement for race day travel.
