Commitment to Sustainability

In the heart of every Level Glove is a desire to innovate, not just for performance, but for the planet. The impact of modern production processes is not sustainable anymore, and no one should stand still without doing their part. 

Level’s goal is to become a fully sustainable company in the coming years without losing the performance of its gloves. From reimagining production processes to rethinking materials and packaging, Level Gloves is forging a new path that blends craftsmanship with conscience.

Research

Behind every breakthrough lies the dedication of a Research and Development team. Fueled by a passion for progress, they drive the initiative to combine performance with purpose. Through experimentation, they’re shaping the future of winter sports gear—one eco-friendly innovation at a time.

Gloves’ palms are now almost entirely PVC-free (PFCs are a wide range of artificial chemicals used to waterproof outdoor equipment) and more than 80% of the product line is realized without non-reusable plastic. Level designs its newest products with natural cloth, such as Swiss wool, MerinoWool and silk. Also, they switched to PFC-free treatments for gloves. 

The Animal Junior

For this upcoming season, Level Gloves has developed their first fully sustainable model. Meet the Animal Junior—a testament to their dedication and a milestone in sustainable design. Crafted entirely from recycled materials, it’s more than just a glove; it symbolizes possibility. With the Animal Junior, young skiers can carve their paths on the slopes while leaving a lighter footprint on the planet.

Building a Green Network

Now, we are working on several new models to upscale the range of fully recycled products. The path to becoming a green company can’t be walked alone. That’s why we’re teaming up with Green Dealers who share our vision for a sustainable future. Together, we’re not just selling gear but sparking a movement. 

The effort continues beyond the production process. Shipping, packaging, and retail should follow the same guidelines to make the entire process sustainable. Athletes and skiers are already onboard to sponsor a green approach to winter sports. 

The strength of the skiing community is one of the many reasons behaviors are changing. This is leading to a closer collaboration with NGOs and environmental organizations. Level Gloves Pledged to collaborate with Protect Our Winters and Save Soil. 

Also, during the past summer, Level Gloves organized Clean-Up Days in the Southern Alps to raise awareness among children about the effects of pollution in Mountain environments.
