Vermonter in plaid, RCS models jacket for Beijing Olympics closing ceremony
Ryan Cochran-Seigle will be adding to his collection of plaid outerwear thanks to Polo Ralph Lauren – the official outfitter of Team USA since 2008. He, along with the rest of Team USA, will be sporting buffalo plain jackets over navy blue sweaters during the closing ceremony at the Tokyo Olympics this winter.
As a ski racer who was born and raised in Vermont, RCS feels right at home with this design choice, even admitting in an interview with the Associated Press, “Yeah, in Vermont we have a good variety of plaid,” Cochran-Siegle smiled. “I have a good number of flannels.”
This may be the most ideal wardrobe choice for the Vermonter, but he’s not the only one excited. USA Bobsledder, Aja Evans told the AP, “I’m loving the plaid. It gives me sort of a ski resort vibe.”
