The first run in Gurgl delivered one of the tightest slalom leaderboards in years. Atle Lie McGrath leads, while Tanguy Nef and Edvard Hallberg share second and seven high-bib skiers — including Austria’s Simon Rueland — crashed into the top 30. Britain qualified two for the afternoon, but no North Americans made the cut.

Lucas Braathen dominates the first run of the Levi Men’s Slalom World Cup opener, with Clement Noël and Timon Haugan rounding out the top three. Standout performances from young gun Eduard Hallberg and depth from Norway and France set the stage for an exciting second run.
