Burke Mountain Academy (BMA) is seeking an enthusiastic and expert skier/former racer to join our team of 4 coaches as an Assistant U16 Coach. This is a full year-round employment opportunity with housing provided.

The BMA U16 program is grounded in providing an expanded opportunity for alpine ski racing and training, a robust academic core, and active involvement in the broader BMA community. We extend our full-year academy program to U16 athletes in 8th-10th grades from mid-August to early June.

Beyond the racing season, U16 athletes participate in 2-3 preparatory camps over the summer/fall, focusing on free skiing, fundamentals, skill acquisition, and early-season training in Colorado. During the winter competition season, our athletes race within the Northern Vermont Council while pursuing qualification for regional/national events like the Eastern Championships, Can-Am/Am-Can, and U16 Nationals.

Basic Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm for coaching/teaching
  • Expert skiing ability/former racer background
  • Level 1 USSS Coach Certification minimum

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated coaching staff at a leading ski academy program. Please contact BMA Sport Director Jesse Hunt (jhunt@burkemtnacademy.org) with your interest.
