2023 was another interesting season for the US men’s World Cup team. Notably, three US men scored their first World Cup points; two were Stifel US Ski Team members and one was a member of Global Racing.

During the past season, 14 US men scored World Cup points, the highest number of US athletes in the past three seasons. Eleven of the 14 athletes were members of the Stifel US Ski Team, two were members of Global Racing, and one was a Stifel US Ski Team invitee.

The season also saw the retirement of two very accomplished US speed skiers; their contributions will be missed. However, Travis Ganong added a Kitzbühel podium to his impressive resume before saying goodbye to the sport. Unfortunately, three-time Val Gardena winner Steven Nyman experienced a December injury that caused him to miss most of the season.

Six US men scored in two different events and five qualified for the World Cup finals.

Take a look at the data from the last three seasons and decide how the US men performed in 2023. However, keep in mind that some were coming back from serious injuries.

Once again Ryan Cochran-Siegle obtained the highest overall rank of the US men, in 2023 he was 29th.
