Nina O’Brien’s recent Instagram post has revealed another setback in the career of the Stifel US Ski Team star. After returning from a recent training camp, O’Brien candidly shared that she “re-fractured” her leg in New Zealand. Despite this challenging situation, she maintains a positive outlook: “at least this isn’t my first rodeo ????.”

Triumphs and tribulations have marked O’Brien’s journey over the past few years. Following an injury sustained during the Beijing Olympics GS, she steadily regained her confidence and pace throughout the 2022/23 season. By February, she achieved the title of World Champion in Team Parallel. Her remarkable progress culminated in a well-deserved qualification for the World Cup finals GS in Soldeu, Andorra. As the season concluded, she secured the 23rd spot on the GS World Cup Start List, a testament to her resilience and skill.

Heal well and as fast as you ski, Nina; your fans can’t wait to see you back on skis.
