With 1,615 points, Switzerland has widened the gap to 543 points over second-placed Norway and an astonishing 845 points over Austria. Their consistent performance throughout the season has showcased Switzerland’s prowess in the GS discipline, reaffirming their status as a formidable force at the top of the sport.

In the North American camp, the Stifel US Ski Team, accompanied by independent contributor Patrick Kenney, has amassed a total of 282 points, securing an 8th place ranking. Meanwhile, the Canadian team, led by Erik Read, holds 12th place with 45 points.

North American Contenders:

For the North American contingent, the Stifel US Ski Team, led by River Radamus, has shown promising results in the GS season. Radamus, with 208 points, stands as the top-ranked North American GS skier, securing a podium finish in Palisades Tahoe and two other top-ten placements. Finishing 11th in Aspen, Radamus has earned himself an invitation to the World Cup Finals GS in Saalbach Austria. Tomorrow because of two season ending injuries and the withdrawl of slalom leader Manuel Feller, Radamus will start among the first seven for the first time in his career. Radamus drew bib three.

However, his teammate Tommy Ford faced a setback, failing to finish the first run in Aspen and dropping to 29th in the rankings. With two more races remaining in the regular season, Ford has a chance to reclaim his position among the season’s top 25.

Erik Read leads the charge in the Canadian camp as the best-ranked Canadian GS skier in 34th place, with 30 points. Read faces an uphill battle to secure his fourth consecutive GS finals appearance but remains determined to showcase his skills in the remaining races.
