Looking to make a breakthrough in your skiing before the season begins? Consider joining a GMVS Junior Development camp. Throughout the year, GMVS offers several camps for aspiring ski racers who want to gain important technical and tactical skills, or experience GMVS first hand. We offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year when you can visit the GMVS campus, train at our amazing facilities, and/or travel with our coaches and racers. Lift tickets are not included in camp fee.

Power Camp at Mt. Hood

Dates: June 23rd- July 5th, 2026

Cost: Boarding Campers $4,250, Day Campers $3,000

Open to U12–U14 athletes, this camp focuses on skill development through a blend of drills, technical free skiing, and SL and GS gate training. Summer offers the perfect opportunity to reflect on the past season, revisit fundamental skills, and make meaningful progress without the pressures of competition—all while taking in the beauty of Mt. Hood’s alpine terrain.

Off the hill, athletes will deepen their understanding of ski racing through hands-on sessions in ski tuning, conditioning, nutrition, and mental performance. Campers will also enjoy classic Oregon summer adventures like hiking, swimming, and whitewater rafting.

The camp ensures personalized attention with a low camper-to-coach ratio that supports each athlete’s growth.

Boarding Campers (U14 and older): Includes lodging, meals, transportation, lift passes, training fees, video analysis, and activities.

Day Campers (U12 and younger): Includes lift passes, training fees, video analysis, and activities.

Chaperoned flight: There will be a chaperoned flight with coaches from Boston, MA (possibly Newark too) to Portland, OR. Campers must arrange their tickets on this flight, booking information will be shared after the confirmation.

Indoor SL: Big Snow, NJ

This indoor SL Camp is a SL specific camp, focused on introducing and building fundamental ski racing skills through the use of drills, and SL course environments. 

November Colorado Camp

Dates: November 2026 (Specific Dates TBA)

Camp Point Person: Megan Mikell

Coaching Staff: Scott Graham, Megan Mikell, and Tracy Keller

Kickstart your season with five full days of free skiing, technical free skiing and drill course environments!  The camp will utilize on-snow opportunities at A-Basin and Loveland to help athletes shake off the rust, build their confidence, and bolster their fundamental SL and GS skills heading into the season.  

The camp fee covers coaches expenses, lift tickets, and lane fees. Lodging and flights are not included. There are great lodging options in the Silverthorne or Dillion areas which are convenient to both Loveland and A-Basin.

This camp is best suited for U12 and U14 athletes. U10s who are confident that they can ski all day at altitude are welcome to join as well. 

Holiday Race Camp

Dates:  December 2026 (Specific dates TBA)

Coaching Staff: GMVS Junior Program and Academy Coaches

This three-day high-volume training opportunity is open to U.S. Ski and Snowboard and Alpine Canada registered racers who were born in 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, or 2013, and will be focused on technical free skiing, as well as Slalom and Giant Slalom drills and exercises.

The daily schedule is packed with activities that will jumpstart the young ski racer’s season. Each day will include a technical free ski block and a gate-training block on the famed Kelly Brush Race Area. After skiing, campers will go to the GMVS campus for physical conditioning, video analysis, and tuning clinics in the Racing Performance Center (GMVS’ world-class athletic facility).

We will follow the Holiday Race Camp experience with the Hobart Memorial Open U12/U14 race . Stay tuned for further details. 

Power Race Camps, Sugarbush, VT

These three-day camps are designed to be intense training periods, focusing on one discipline at a time. Each day and include a comprehensive technical progression with video analysis and timing. These camps are designed for U12 and U14 athletes.
