Alexis Monney (SUI) will remain with Stöckli through at least the 2029–30 season after signing a four-year contract extension with the Swiss ski manufacturer, according to a Stöckli press release and reporting by skinews.ch.
The 26-year-old Swiss speed specialist has been with Stöckli since childhood and has developed into one of the strongest athletes in downhill and Super-G on the World Cup.
A long-term partnership built on performance
Monney’s rise has accelerated over the past two seasons. At the 2025 World Championships in Saalbach, he earned silver in the team combined and bronze in downhill. He also secured his first World Cup downhill victory in Bormio and has added six additional podium finishes.
He closed the 2025–26 downhill season ranked seventh in the World Cup standings, confirming his place among the top speed athletes pushing the limit in the discipline.
The early extension reflects a relationship built on trust, familiarity, and consistent performance at the highest level.
“It was always clear to me that I wanted to stay with Stöckli,” Monney said. “I’ve been skiing on Stöckli skis since I was a child and know the team and the equipment inside and out. This kind of trust is crucial in competitive skiing.”
Monney also highlighted the value of working alongside Marco Odermatt.
“The exchange with Marco Odermatt is particularly valuable. This combination gives me the confidence to consistently perform at the highest level,” he said.
Stöckli CEO Marc Gläser pointed to Monney’s rapid progression.
“Alexis Monney has made impressive progress over the past two years and established himself among the top athletes,” Gläser said. “We are very pleased to continue this successful partnership and believe there is more to achieve together.”
The extension aligns Monney’s timeline with Odermatt, whose contract with Stöckli was extended in 2025 through the same 2029–30 season.
