Narvik, Norway β Alpine Canada has announced the seven athletes selected to represent Canada at the 2026 FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships, taking place March 5β15 in Narvik, Norway.
The athletes, all under the age of 21, were selected based on criteria including world ranking, world ranking by age, and performances in the Nor-Am Cup circuit.
Four athletes return from the 2025 Junior World Championships, bringing valuable experience to the Canadian team. AmΓ©lie Bourgeois, Estelle Martin, and Kendra Giesbrecht will each compete at their third Junior Worlds, while Jake Kertez-Knight will make his second appearance at the event.
βCongratulations to these young athletes and also to the people who support them including their coaches, clubs, provincial ski associations and families,β said Jeff Thompson, SVP Domestic Sport Programs & Events at Alpine Canada. βThe majority of these athletes are involved with Alpine Canadaβs Project Excel and the CAST D program. It is also exciting to see athletes identify themselves through their performances coming from other programs. ACA continues to be proud of the collaboration between the Provincial Ski Associations and ACA in helping our athletes with opportunities such as this to assist in their development.β
