American Brooke Wales of the Mission Ridge Ski Team won today’s (February. 10) NorAm Cup super-G held in Aspen, Colorado.  She finished with a combined time of 1:17.67, beating the field by almost eight-tenths of a second.

Today marks Wales’ first career NorAm podium.

U.S. Ski Team’s Julia Ford came in second with a total time of 1:18.46, and Canadian Victoria Stevens grabbed the bronze with a time of 1:18.59.

The women also competed in a super combined today combining their super-G race with a slalom run.

U.S. Ski Team’s Kiley Staples grabbed her first career super combined win having to make up over one and half seconds after the super-G.  Staples had a combined time of 2:07.57, winning the slalom portion by over a second.

Teammate Julia Ford took the second place spot on the podium with a total time of 2:08.49, and Canadian Madison Mcleish came in third with a time of 2:08.79.

Nor Am Racing will continue tomorrow (February. 11) in Aspen with another women’s super-G.
