After crashing and burning on an early ski-team–saving attempt (yes, we’re looking at you, Middlebury club team), Arc City: The Podcast is back with a win — and this one’s worth celebrating.

In the latest episode, we revisit the Colorado Mountain College (CMC) Ski Team, a program that was on the brink of extinction after facing major funding cuts at the school. You may remember CMC from an episode last year, when the future of the team looked bleak.

Fast forward to today, and thanks to a determined coaching staff, passionate supporters, and a rally from the ski racing community, the CMC Ski Team has secured at least two more years of life.

In this episode, we sit down with CMC Head Coach Scott Tanner and CMC Regional Development Officer Olivia Goldsworthy to break down how they’ve led such a successful campaign so far. From grassroots fundraising to community engagement, the conversation dives into what it actually takes to keep a collegiate ski program alive in today’s landscape.

It’s an honest look at the challenges facing ski teams nationwide — and a reminder of what’s possible when the ski world shows up.
