Are: Men's downhill postponed to Sunday
Thick, unrelenting fog at the start and throughout the top section of the men's downhill course Saturday forced officials to postpone the race until Sunday, setting up a super Sunday of racing at the World Championships.
The call to postpone was made after three delays of the scheduled 12:30 p.m. start time.
The plan now is to stage both the men and women's downhill races on Sunday. The men's race will begin at 10 a.m. and the women will follow at 12:45 p.m.

ARE, Sweden — Thick, unrelenting fog at the start and throughout the top section of the men's downhill course Saturday forced officials to postpone the race until Sunday, setting up a super Sunday of racing at the World Championships.
The call to postpone was made after three delays of the scheduled 12:30 p.m. start time. The decision was announced at approximately 1:15 p.m. local time, a half-hour before the last scheduled start of the race at 1:45 p.m.
The plan now is to stage both the men and women's downhill races on Sunday. The men's race will begin at 10 a.m. and the women will follow at 12:45 p.m.
The women's third and final downhill training session on Saturday was canceled due to the fog. Only 28 women were entered for the final practice, many preferring instead to preserve their energy in the frigid temperatures at this Scandinavian resort, although the temperature had warmed considerably since Friday morning, aided by cloudy skies and light snow. Friday's temperature averaged minus-10 degrees Fahrenheit, while Saturday's ranged between 10 and 15 degrees.
The window for training was narrow because the men's downhill race was due to start just a couple of hours later and both downhill courses funnel into the same finish area.
Poor weather delayed the start of these World Championships, pushing back the super G races from their original starting times. Both the men and women's races were run on Tuesday.
