The Tauern Spa and the Pinzgau surroundings offered ideal training conditions. In addition to strength circuits, the team was able to prove their skills during downhill racing at the Leogang Bike Park. The many-sided trails and obstacles in the bike park demanded body control, concentration and courage from the athletes. In addition, Dr. Patrick Bernatzky did some great team building exercises for the newly-formed group.

On the ladies’ side, Schladming hosted the annual women’s conditioning competition. Aside from the athletes of the national team, the talents of skiers from other Austrian ski teams were also on display.

In the varied program of the competition, there were eight different stations, which were to be mastered by the ladies. The winner of this year’s conditioning competition was junior racer Celina Unterberger. National team athletes Katharina Liensberger and Nadine Fest placed third and fourth overall in the competition. Full competition results are available here.
