Happy New Year to everyone in the BRASS community!

For BRASS, the start of winter has been a mixed bag across the country, but snow is finally on the ground—or on the way—nearly everywhere. While they have been waiting for consistent conditions, BRASS has been anything but quiet.

Over the past several months, BRASS instructors have delivered BRASS 101 programs at clubs and schools nationwide. At the same time, their most recent fundraising campaign brought an incredible outpouring of support. In just over one month, they raised $100,000 and unlocked two $50,000 matching grants—the most successful fundraising effort in BRASS history. BRASS thanks everyone who helped make that possible.

They are now wrapping up the busiest stretch of the BRASS 101 season. (It’s never too late to host a program—please reach out to BRASS if you’re interested.) As winter gets fully underway, they are also gearing up for several exciting new projects.

As part of their celebration of Bryce & Ronnie Day 2026, they are hosting a BRASS 101 webinar on Tuesday, January 14, at 8:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. MT / 5:00 p.m. PT. The session will be led by Craig Gordon of the Utah Avalanche Center and offers a valuable opportunity to review BRASS 101 fundamentals, refresh key concepts as the season progresses, and access additional resources to continue your education.

BRASS hopes you’ll join them for this informative and timely hour.
