BREAKING: Dominik Paris Crowned Super-G World Champion
Italian speed specialist Dominik Paris won the 2019 World Championship super-G title on Wednesday, finishing with a time of 1:24.20 seconds.
The opening mens’s race of the 2019 World Championships in Are, Sweden, Wednesday’s super-G podium was separated by only 0.09 seconds as Austria’s Vincent Kriechmayr and France’s Johan Clarey tied for second place behind the big Italian, Paris. Paris took over the lead with bib three and was able to fend off challenges from several top racers before walking out of the finish with his first World Championship title.
American Steven Nyman finished in a three-way-tie for eighth place, 0.50 seconds back, and Ryan Cochran-Siegle finished in 11th, 0.53 seconds off the pace. Bryce Bennett finished in 23rd, 1.62 seconds back.
