BREAKING: Dominik Paris Wins Bormio Downhill
Italy’s Dominik Paris won the men’s World Cup downhill in Bormio, Italy, on Friday with a total time of 1:55.21 seconds. Paris charged through rough and icy conditions to take his second win in a row at the storied venue and first win in exactly a year.
Paris was joined on the podium by fellow Italian, Christoph Innerhofer, who finished 0.36 seconds back in second place and Switserland’s Beat Feuz, who clocked in 0.52 seconds back in third.
Bryce Bennett led the American Downhillers just off the podium in fourth, 0.67 seconds off the pace. Steven Nyman finished in 17th and Jared Goldberg in 28th to round out the American top-30 finishers.
