Austrian great, Marcel Hirscher, won the men’s World Championship slalom gold medal on Sunday, finishing with a two-run time of 2:05.86 seconds. Sunday’s race was the final event of the 2019 World Championships in Are, Sweden, and Hirscher’s third career World Championship slalom gold.

Hirscher led an Austrian sweep of the podium on Sunday as the living legend was joined in the medals by Michael Matt in second, 0.65 seconds back, and Marco Schwarz in third, 0.76 seconds off the pace.
