Camp Location: Mt. Hood, Oregon
Athlete Ages: U12/U14
The training camp this summer (2025) will be held at Mt. Hood, Oregon and will focus on skills development through the use of drills, technical free skiing, and both slalom and giant slalom gate training. This is a great time to review the past season, re-visit any deficiency in skill and work to improve without the stress of a busy race schedule. The camp will be led by Naga Kusumi, the Mt.Mansfield Head U14 Coach, along with other coaches from the academy. The low camper to coach ratio of this camp allows the focus to be on the campers’ athletic development and will maximize supervision.
February Speed Camp
Student-athletes will spend 2 days on the snow Feb 18-19, 2025 in beautiful Stowe, on some of the best skiing in the east, on legendary Main Street (weather dependent), an elite race course used not only by MMA racers but University of Vermont Division 1 skiers as well. Our coaches have experience teaching athletes all the way from the local area to the World Cup. Speed Training includes proper tucking techniques, jump, high speed turns, and non-stop SG runs. Open to U14/16 racers, this speed camp is designed for advanced racers who have had SG experience only. SG skis or long radius GS skis are required.
