2026 Okemo Mountain School On-Snow Mini Camps

Build Your Foundation Before Winter

Okemo Mountain School is bringing back its popular On-Snow Mini Camps this fall at Big Snow American Dream in New Jersey, giving alpine ski racers an opportunity to get valuable early-season mileage before winter arrives.

Designed for U10 through U21 athletes, these camps focus on developing the technical fundamentals that carry over all season long. Athletes from any ski racing program are welcome.

Rather than gate training, each camp emphasizes drill progressions, technical skiing, and skill development on open terrain, helping athletes refine movement patterns before moving into race-specific training.

2026 OMS Fall Fundamentals Camp | Colorado

Build Your Season Before It Begins

Okemo Mountain School’s 2026 Fall Fundamentals Camp provides athletes with the opportunity to log valuable early-season mileage in Colorado while building the technical foundation needed for a successful race season.

Running November 8–20, 2026 (travel dates may shift slightly based on airfare), the camp is designed primarily for U14 and older athletes, with U12 athletes considered on a case-by-case basis.

Hosted at Keystone Resort, athletes will spend 10 days on snow (weather permitting), focusing on technical freeskiing, skill development, and fundamental movement patterns on both slalom and giant slalom skis before the heart of the season begins.

Lodging & Meals

Athletes and coaches stay together in condominiums near Keystone.

Campers receive:

• Their own bed (bedrooms may be shared)
• Daily breakfast
• Family-style dinners prepared with teammates under coach supervision
• Lunch-making supplies for packed lunches

Meals are designed to help athletes develop independence while maintaining a team environment throughout camp.

Academics

OMS student-athletes continue working with their teachers remotely throughout camp using scheduled study hall periods.

Athletes attending from other schools are expected to complete coursework provided by their home schools.

Remote tutoring may also be available for non-OMS athletes if additional academic support is needed.

Travel Information

Coaches will travel together on designated flights into Denver International Airport.

Athletes are encouraged to book the same flights to simplify transportation to Keystone.

Flight details will be shared with registered athletes once finalized.

Dates: December 16–18, 2026
Location: Okemo Mountain Resort, Ludlow, Vermont
Sport: Alpine
Ages: U10–U14
Cost: $435 for all three days or $165 per day

Okemo Mountain School’s annual Holiday Hammer Camp gives U10–U14 alpine racers three days of early-season training focused on giant slalom and slalom fundamentals. Open to athletes who participated in a U10–U14 program last winter, the camp combines consistent time on snow with an introduction to life at a winter sports academy.

On-snow training runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Okemo Mountain. Athletes will work on building a strong technical foundation for the competition season and eat lunch on the mountain. Campers should bring a packed lunch or money to purchase one.

All campers are also invited to afternoon sessions at OMS featuring video review, dryland workouts and trampoline training, approximately 3:30–4:30 p.m. The camp concludes with an awards session on Friday afternoon. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the OMS building for afternoon activities.

Families may register for all three days or individual days, and every camper receives a camp sweatshirt. The final training schedule will be shared with registered families the week before camp and may vary based on enrollment in each age group.

Please note: This is a day camp; housing is not provided. Camp fees do not include lift access at Okemo Mountain. Families needing lift access should contact the camp coordinator.

Cancellations received fewer than 30 days before camp begins are eligible for full credit toward a future OMS camp. A refund is available only if a waitlisted camper fills the spot; in that case, the camp fee will be refunded less 10%.

2027 OMS Valentine Victory Camp

Dates: February 10–12, 2027
Location: Okemo Mountain Resort, Ludlow, Vermont

Cost: $435 for all three days or $165 per day

Okemo Mountain School’s annual Valentine Victory Camp gives U10–U14 alpine racers a midwinter training boost with three days of on-snow training and afternoon activities. Athletes will train in slalom, giant slalom or both, with the final schedule designed to help campers build toward a strong finish to the competition season.

On-snow training runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Okemo Mountain. Campers will eat lunch on the mountain and should bring a packed lunch or money to purchase one.

All campers are also invited to afternoon sessions at OMS featuring video review, dryland workouts and trampoline training, approximately 3:30–4:30 p.m. The camp concludes with an awards session on Friday afternoon. 2027 OMS Spring Slalom Step Up Camp

Dates: March 31–April 2, 2027
Location: Okemo Mountain Resort, Ludlow, Vermont
Sport: Alpine
Ages: U10–U14
Cost: $435 for all three days or $165 per day

Okemo Mountain School’s Spring Slalom Step Up Camp gives U10–U14 alpine racers three days of training to build skills for next winter. The camp focuses on tall-gate slalom, helping U10 athletes prepare for the transition to U12 while giving current U12 and U14 racers an opportunity to refine their technique. Training may also include panel slalom.

Campers will work with OMS coaches on snow and through video review, alongside dryland sessions led by the school’s strength and conditioning coach. Chalk talks and trampoline sessions round out the camp, giving athletes additional training and a taste of academy life.

Transportation from Okemo Mountain to OMS is included. Parents are responsible for picking up their athletes at OMS following afternoon activities. The final schedule will depend on weather and enrollment in each age group.

Tentative Schedule

Wednesday, March 31

• 8:15 a.m.–2:30 p.m.: On-snow training at Okemo, with lunch on the mountain. Campers should bring lunch or money to purchase it.
• 2:45 p.m.: OMS van transportation to Okemo Mountain School.
• 3–4:30 p.m.: Video review, chalk talk and trampoline time.
• 4:30 p.m.: Parent pickup at OMS.

Thursday, April 1, and Friday, April 2

• 8:15–11:30 a.m.: On-snow training at Okemo.
• 11:50 a.m.: Okemo bus transportation to OMS.
• Noon–12:30 p.m.: Lunch at OMS. Campers must bring their own lunch.
• 12:30–2:30 p.m.: Dryland training, video review and trampoline time.
• 2:30 p.m.: Parent pickup at OMS.

Families may register for all three days or individual days.
