What makes SARC’s camp stand out?

About SARC

Southeastern Alpine Race Camps (SARC) was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to bring elite-level training opportunities to young racers in the Southeastern United States—and beyond.

Our mission is to cultivate a positive, supportive, and healthy training environment where athletes can thrive both on and off the hill. While we develop high-level technical and tactical ski racing skills, we place equal emphasis on building the character traits that shape lifelong success:

  • Commitment
  • Independence
  • Adaptability
  • Determination
  • Self-awareness

We believe ski racing is more than a sport—it’s a vehicle for personal growth. Through teamwork, mindfulness, and a genuine passion for alpine racing, we help young athletes grow into confident, resilient individuals.

Although our roots are in the Southeast, you do not need to live there to attend. SARC camps are open to all racers ages 8–18 who are eager to improve, learn, and be part of a supportive community.

An Exceptional Coaching Team

Our coaches are the heart of SARC.

Over the years, we have carefully built a cohesive, experienced, and deeply committed coaching staff who are excited to get on the hill every single day and help your athlete become the skier they aspire to be.

Beyond their extensive experience and certifications in alpine coaching, our staff brings rich professional backgrounds in education, sport development, snow sports equipment, leadership, safety, wellness, and performance training.

What truly sets SARC apart is not just the technical expertise of our coaches—but the culture they create.

Our number one priority, bar none, is fostering a healthy, supportive, and fun training environment where athletes can:

  • Push their limits safely
  • Build confidence
  • Develop accountability
  • Support one another
  • Grow as both competitors and individuals

The enthusiasm, professionalism, and mutual respect modeled by our staff create an atmosphere where athletes feel empowered to take ownership of their development.

Committed to Accessibility

SARC is proud to be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

One of our primary objectives is to make high-quality ski racing training more accessible—especially for families in the Southeast who may not otherwise have these opportunities. We maintain a need-based scholarship fund and strongly encourage families to apply if financial assistance would make camp possible.

We believe talent and passion should determine opportunity—not geography or financial circumstance.
