As one of the premiere ski academies in the United States, Stratton Mountain School (SMS) is excited to offer the Next Gen Camps, providing exceptional year-round opportunities for young athletes to train with SMS coaches in a ski academy atmosphere. These camps are designed to maximize athlete improvement and to give young racers a glimpse of ski academy training and coaching.

Participants in the Next Gen Camps will receive personalized coaching tips on technique and tactics, which they can implement throughout the season.  The Next Gen camps feature extensive gate training and daily video and tech talks. Our goal is to build the next generation of great ski racers, and we welcome everyone interested in competing at a higher level to join us for incredible training and a ton of fun.

The SMS Next Gen Camps are led by our new Junior Development Director, Sydney Koop, along with long-time Next Gen coaches, Jim Sullivan and Dave Sklar. We maintain a low racer-to-coach ratio to ensure individual attention and maximum improvement. The expertise of the SMS athletic staff enriches the camp experience both on and off the snow. Our High Performance Director, Joe Colotti, shares his knowledge in alpine conditioning, while former US Olympic team coach and Alpine Program director, Michael Morin, leads the camps’ technical and tactical training.

Campers will benefit from amazing training venues both at Stratton Resort and on campus at our US Ski and Snowboard High Performance Center. We are excited to help you achieve your season goals and will work with each camper to develop a plan for achieving their best.
