Early Season/ Fall Training Overview
Kick off your team’s Winter Park training block with the structure, access, and altitude advantage needed to plan efficiently and ski fast.
At over 9,000 feet, Winter Park provides one of Colorado’s most reliable early- and late-season training environments, combining high-elevation conditions with advanced snowmaking and dedicated lane space.
Spring Training | May Camps
May Camps begin the first Friday following Winter Park Resort’s public closing date and run for a designated multi-day training block each year.
Late-season snow preservation and elevation allow for extended training access when most North American programs have shifted off snow.
Lane Access & Disciplines:
Teams may apply for private lane space during the May training block.
Available disciplines:
- Slalom (SL)
- Giant Slalom (GS)
Discipline preference and terrain requests may be submitted in advance. Lane allocation is based on snow conditions, preservation efforts, and overall demand.
Session Format:
- 2–3 hour training blocks
- Multiple sessions per day available- Morning and Afternoon sessions (as conditions permit)
- Opportunity to secure multiple lanes (subject to availability)
Surface prep is prioritized to maintain consistent lane quality throughout the camp block, allowing athletes to maximize technical work and volume.
May Camp Advantage:
- Structured re-entry to on-snow training
- Focused technical development block
- Consistent late-season surface
- Efficient transition into summer and fall camps
Get the reps. Rebuild rhythm. Enter the next training cycle with momentum instead of starting from zero.
