Domestic Roundup: September 21, 2005Ski Racing caught up with Travis Cabral from the U.S. freestyle team the other day to talk about the film he has produced, entitled Shadow in the Trees. ‘This movie came around the world with me’ says Cabral, who did much of the work on his computer in hotel rooms as he traveled the World Cup skiing moguls. ‘I spent the past two months doing color correction.’

The film had its premiere this past weekend in Lake Tahoe, and a preview is available at the official website, Shadowinthetrees.com.

‘I’ve been doing stuff since I was 12’ says Cabral, who made the film with his friend Chris Smith. ‘We’ve had to learn everything on our own. It takes twice as long when you do it, and then find that there is a better way to do it. We had to learn how to create moonlight.’

Cabral, a medal hopeful for the deep U.S. men’s freestyle moguls team, says he took 60 hours of film for a roughly two-hour movie, thriller/drama rated PG-13. For more, click here.
