Elena Fanchini sidelined for one month with minor knee injury
Italian speed specialist Elena Fanchini will be sidelined for one month after suffering a minor knee injury in a fall last week while training at Santa Caterina. After undergoing medical tests at the clinic in the City of Brescia, performed by Dr. James Stefani closely with the medical staff of the FISI, it was revealed that Fanchini has suffered a strain of the collateral ligament in her right knee. Fanchini finished the season ranked tenth in the World Cup downhill standings thanks to two third-place results achieved in Beaver Creek and Lake Louise between late November and early December.
