Ski Team Sweden Alpine is happy to announce a new collaboration with alpine and snowboarding hardware manufacturer SHRED., as the start of a long-term partnership that promises to uphold and elevate the objectives of both parties. Ski Team Sweden Alpine will benefit from partnering with a company established by passionate skiers with long experience of the needs of an elite alpine skier.
Headgear is, needless to say, the most important protective equipment for any skier and for Ski Team Sweden Alpine, partnering with a manufacturer who understands the particulars of alpine skiing, is essential. SHRED., established by giant slalom legend, World Champion, and Olympic Gold Medalist Ted Ligety and materials engineer graduate Carlo Salmini in 2006, offers a wide variety of safe, comfortable and well designed and fitting helmets and goggles for alpine skiers and snowboarders.
Given the founders’ own solid experience in the world of alpine skiing and manufacturing materials, SHRED. also provides a dimension of knowledge, in regards to the special needs of the elite alpine skier. The company has shown this by being at the forefront of technical development and introducing safety systems such as the Rotational Energy System, designed to protect athletes from rotational forces. Also looking to improve lens systems, a number of innovative solutions to enhance contrast and clarity and widen the field of vision, have been introduced since the start in 2006.
”This partnership is essential to make our athletes feel safe, comfortable and able to focus on their task at hand, while also looking good doing that. There is so much in a partnership of this kind, and we are excited to pair up with SHRED., making our mutual mark in the world of alpine skiing,” said Ski Team Sweden Alpine’s Head of Marketing & Communications, Kalle Olsson Bexell.
