French skier Coralie Frasse Sombet will not participate in the World Cup at Soelden. She stretched her left anterior cruciate ligament during training. On Facebook, she said she will have to take a few weeks off and wants to be back as soon as possible.

France will be represented by Taina Barioz, Marie Massios and Tessa Worley in the women’s race on Oct. 28. Last year at Soelden, Frasse Sombet was just outside the top 10, earning 11th place, and her best result on the 2016-17 season was at World Cup Finals in Aspen, Colo. where she got ninth place in the giant slalom.

Frasse-Sombet joins a growing list of injured athletes who will not be present at Soelden including Slovenia’s Ilka Stuhec.
