In the latest Skiing is Believing episode, presented by Ski Racing Media, Alan and I were thrilled to have the opportunity to chat with Martin Bell, a former top World Cup speed racer from Great Britain.

We spoke to Martin about various topics, from his first love of the mountains before his developing ski racing career with his brother to enjoyable days on the FIS World Cup circuit with Americans, Canadians, and Australians.

He spoke in depth about the current growth of the soon-to-be, well-established British ski team. Also, how his daughter, Reece (22), aims to build on her two FIS World Cup starts in the upcoming season.

Martin also expressed to us the typical ‘man vs. mountain’ spirit, which was very quickly embodied by him and his brother, Graham (tune into Season 1, Episode 17 for our interview with Graham Bell). The brothers took this mentality to build their ski racing careers.

Additionally, the older Bell brother told us about some unforgettable experiences in Kitzbühel’s famous pub, The Londoner, and how current racers continue to celebrate there in style.

Please let us know what you think via Instagram @skiingisbelievingpodcast. This week, we also recorded the first of our LIVE podcasts (now available on the Insta page) or via email at mattgarcka.skiingisbelieving@gmail.com

Thank you, and enjoy!
