Alpine racer Will Brandenburg took the overall
win after team sports scientists gave him a 31-minute head start.

A total of 40 USSA athletes, coaches and staff members gathered June, 23 at Sundance, Utah for a 3,000 vertical foot hill climb bike race. Star times were organize in a handicap format based on fitness tests performed on each racer.

Overall winner Brandenburg and women’s winner Heather McPhie celebrate finishing the grueling ride at 8,000 feet.

Moguls skier Joe Dicoe starts the Sundance Sufferfest in the middle of the pack.

Nordic skiers Todd Lodwick and Tyler Smith chase the pack from the late start times.
