Austrian slalom specialist Reinfried Herbst will be skiing for Fischer for at least two years after signing a contract with the company.

Herbst had previously skied with Blizzard and won the World Cup slalom title on that brand in 2010. His best result last season was an eighth scored at Schladming. He recently underwent shoulder surgery (March 29) to correct an injury sustained while training at Kitzbuehel.

“With my former outfitter I celebrated great successes, but now I want to look to the future and motivate me again,” he said. Herbst is 33.
