About the Role
Team Palisades Tahoe is seeking a high-performance leader to oversee its FIS Alpine U19 program. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for athlete development, staff management, and delivering a world-class racing environment at one of North America’s most iconic venues.
The FIS Alpine Manager will guide athletes competing at regional, national, and international levels while shaping the culture, structure, and long-term success of the program.
Key Responsibilities
Athlete & Program Leadership
- Lead and manage the U19 FIS Alpine team and coaching staff
- Design and execute year-round training plans (on-snow and dryland)
- Travel with athletes to major competitions across North America and internationally
- Support athlete progression through strategic race planning and development pathways
Coaching & Performance Management
- Set and monitor team and individual performance goals
- Oversee coach development, feedback, and evaluation
- Collaborate with performance staff on conditioning programs
Operations & Team Management
- Manage team logistics including travel, equipment, and competition schedules
- Oversee budget responsibilities (travel, equipment, staffing)
- Maintain strong communication with athletes, parents, and leadership
Culture & Community
- Foster a high-performance, respectful, and team-oriented environment
- Uphold the values of Team Palisades Tahoe and Alterra Mountain Company
- Support recruitment of athletes and coaching staff
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma (post-secondary education preferred)
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and video analysis tools
Preferred
- US Ski & Snowboard Alpine Level 300 (or equivalent)
- PSIA certification
- International coaching experience

Work Environment
This role is primarily outdoor and high-activity, requiring long days on snow in variable and sometimes extreme winter conditions. Candidates must be physically capable of skiing extensively and handling equipment loads.
